About Visit Marietta
At Visit Marietta, our mission is to promote the City of Marietta as a tourist destination, boosting both visitation and economic activity.
Established in 1984 during Marietta’s Sesquicentennial Celebration, Visit Marietta is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to showcasing Marietta’s unique charm and attractions. Since 1987, we’ve partnered with the City of Marietta to manage the hotel/motel tax, allocating funds to advertising and marketing programs that highlight Marietta as a must-visit location, thereby enhancing the city’s economic impact.
Over the years, Visit Marietta has garnered numerous accolades, including the Outstanding Convention & Visitors Bureau in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society and the Georgia Governor’s Conference on Tourism Creative Expression Award.
Visit us at the Marietta Welcome Center
Our operations are centered at the Marietta Welcome Center, housed in the historic Western and Atlantic Passenger Depot. Built in 1898, this classic brick structure exemplifies the charm of turn-of-the-century passenger depots and serves as a welcoming point for all visitors.
